Grey rooms. You see them everywhere. A wonderful neutral and much more contemporary than beige or cream. You’d think picking a great grey would be easy. Let me tell you: it is not.
We’ve been on the quest for the perfect grey for the last couple of weeks and it is starting to make us go cross eyed. Our room gets a lot of natural light, which we love, but makes finding the color even harding. Swatches look drastically different on different walls and during different times of day. One color can go from way too green to way too blue in what feels like minutes. To make matters worse, the walls we want to repaint are all peach, which has really been altering the look of all the colors.
Don’t believe me? Go to the “off white” section of your Benjamin Moore paint book if you have one and look at the array of colors! Or just look at this.
Online research doesn’t really help. I love these, but who knows what they look like on real life (or even on someone else’s computer!)
I think we’ve landed on one and I plan to paint this weekend (Benjamine Moore Calm—sounds nice, doesn’t it). And then maybe repaint another color after that ;). Fingers crossed our quest for the perfect grey concludes this weekend!
